Texas A&M AgriLife Summer Field Day set for Aug. 30 in Chillicothe

A Rolling Plains Summer Field Day, hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Vernon, will be held Wednesday, August 30. The field day activites will focus on many of the cotton trials at the AgriLife Research Chillicothe Station located at 1340 Farm-to-Market Rd. 392, south of Chillicothe. The field day begins with registration at 7:45 a.m. followed by the field tour. The program is free and lunch is provided.

Tour stops, topics and speakers will feature cotton trials, advancements in cotton development and conservation ideas. At 11:00 a.m. the program will move indoors for a presentation on herbicide regulations by Henry Krusekopf, Texas Department of Agriculture field inspector from Wichita Falls. The field day closes following a noon lunch, sponsor updates and drawings for door prizes.
