High Plains Helping Hand and HC3 partner for annual One Voice, One Goal event Aug. 26

High Plains Helping Hand and the Hutchinson County Crisis Center (HC3) will hold a fundraiser called "One Voice, One Goal" Saturday, August 26. The event will be held at Frank Phillips College campus Borger Community Activity Center (BCAC). The BCAC is located at 1301 W. Roosevelt St. in Borger.

Event organizers are hoping to set a Guinness World Record, as part of the festivities, for the most people waving checkered (racing) flags. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. and continues to 8:00 p.m. Organizers will have local worship bands performing live, a Boots vs. Badges blood drive, face painting, balloon sales, characters from Star Wars, Spiderman and Disney in attendance and available for pictures, a silent auction and much, much more.

Admission cost is $10 per person at the door which includes a meal and refreshments. Admission is free for children under three years of age. Spread the word with friends and family to attend and help set a Guinness World Record. If we get 520 people to participate, Hutchinson County, Texas will be in the Guinness Book of World Records. Come out and support two very worthy organizations!
