Alibates Flint Quarries Visitor Center invites residents to Fall Star Party Oct. 22

Fritch's Alibates Flint Quarries will open its doors to a Fall Star Party Saturday, October 22. Park Rangers will conduct tours of the Antelope Creek Village ruins and petroglyphs starting at 8:30 a.m. Tours of Alibates Flint Quarries begin at 10:00 a.m. Other events include flintknapping and prehistoric weapons demonstrations, a Paleo Man presentation and water propelled rocket program.

The day-long programs conclude with a Star Party at the visitor center from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The remoteness of the Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument provides one of the best viewing locations to view the cosmos.
