High Plains Irrigation Conference and Trade Show opens Feb. 4 in Amarillo

The High Plains Irrigation Conference and Trade Show is coming to Amarillo on Thursday, February 4. The conference and trade show registration starts at 8:00 a.m. in the Amarillo Civic Center North Exhibit Hall. The event is hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas Agricultural Irrigation Association. The public is invited.

This is a good opportunity to learn about how crops use water; soil moisture sensors; irrigation scheduling tools; variable rate irrigation; considerations for integrated irrigation, crop and pest management; and new/emerging irrigation technologies according to Kay Ledbetter with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. There will be a variety of exhibitors from industry, local irrigation/agribusiness, and related agencies.
