Mini Agriculture Conference set for Sept. 12 in Canadian

A Mini Ag Conference, hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, is set for Monday, September 12 at the Hemphill County Exhibition Center located at 10865 Exhibition Center Rd. in Canadian. "This program is designed to provide beef producers, as well as land and mineral owners important and critical information that is affecting our region and area in a big way," said Andy Holloway, AgriLife Extension agent for Hemphill County.

The conference cost is $25 per person and includes lunch. The morning program begins at 9:00 a.m. and will feature attorneys Joe Lovell and Brian Farabough with Lovell, Lovell, Isern and Farabough in Amarillo. After the lunch break, Dr. Ted McCollum, AgriLife Extension beef cattle specialist will present veterinary feed and related information for livestock producers. Mike Gittinger, a National Weather Service meteorologist, will discuss weather patterns and climate information impacting the region.
