Madden and Whitworth win District 1-3A Mixed Doubles title

After winning the 3A state title in Mixed Doubles last year with her brother Josh, Borger High School senior Abbie Madden is proving how big a role she played on that title team by winning her second District 1-3A Mixed Doubles title with teammate Alix Whitworth at the District 1-3A Tennis Tournament in Pampa on Tuesday.The Madden/Whitworth team will next try to bring Borger its second Regional Mixed Doubles title in a row next week at the 3A Region I Tennis Tournament at Texas Tech University in Lubbock.The Girls Doubles team of Casandra Fonseca and Lindsey Murley advanced to regionals by finishing in second place on Tuesday.Borger results from the District 1-3A Tennis Tournament.
