Lady Eagles top Bushland, stay in second place in District 1-2A

Sometimes, it takes every player to win a big game. With eight of the nine players contributing points...means big, big win for the Sanford-Fritch Lady Eagles over Bushland. This win keeps the Lady Eagles sitting good in district at second place and this win means even more after tough loss to Spearman last Friday.Sanford-Fritch started out dominating and quickly took advantage of numerous turnovers by Bushland to keep their lead for the entire game. The first quarter score showed Sanford-Fritch up 18-8. The Lady Eagles continued making big plays thanks to junior Kelsey Ham shots, and sophomore Christa White steals to stay on top at halftime 38-23.Second half was all about what Sanford-Fritch has missed this season. Senior Jacy Judd had a ankle injury that kept her out a few weeks and just now getting back into the groove. She showed up big tonight, as the leading scorer for the Lady Eagles with 16. This SF team shot 78% from free throw line to help them stay in the lead.Those Lady Falcons put a scare in some after a 14-2 run to almost even the score 63-61 with 1:22 left in the game. But thanks to that great clutch free throw shooting by seniors Judd and Mariah Cumings helped seal the win. Sanford-Fritch wins 70-61.
