Lady Bulldogs struggle in district loss to Pampa

There are times in sports when one miscue just seems to lead to the opening of the floodgate for several more to follow before a team can finally regroup. For the Borger Lady Bulldogs, four of the five innings of their District 1-3A opener had the team holding their own with district rivals, the Pampa Lady Harvesters. However in the top of the third inning, a couple of walks and fielding errors opened the door for the Lady Harvesters to score nine runs before the Lady Bulldogs could regroup, giving Pampa the momentum they needed to leave Agnes Howe Park with the 16-2 win.Pampa got on the scoreboard early, by using a two RBI single and a rbi double to take a 0-3 lead after the first inning. The Lady Bulldogs took a little time to get their bats going in the contest by only accumulating two singles until the fourth inning. The Lady Bulldogs got off the field in the first and second innings by being able to turn two double plays.
