The youth movement on the PGA TOUR is alive and well. Sunday afternoon 24-year-old Justin Thomas became the eighth first time winner of a golf major championship over the last nine contests. Thomas, a third generation PGA professional, carded a final round 3-under 68 to win the 99th PGA Championship at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, N.C.

Thomas finished 8-under par, two shots better than Louis Oosthuizen, Patrick Reed and Francesco Molinari who tied for second place. Thomas has already won 3 times this year, but this was his first major championship.
