Feed grain marketing workshop offered Jan. 25-26 in Amarillo

We can grow it, but can we do so making a profit? That may be what feed grain producers are asking themselves as 2017 rolls around. Questions like this will be answered at this year's "Developing this year's marketing plan for feed grains" workshop set for Wednesday, January 25 and Thursday, January 26 in Amarillo. The workshop takes place at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center located at 6500 W. Amarillo Blvd. The workshop begins at 9:00 a.m. and continues to 4:00 p.m. both days. Registration is $125 and includes lunch, instruction and materials. The marketing workshop is co-sponsored by the Plains Land Bank and Capital Farm Credit and is limited to the first 50 participants.

A wide variety of instructors and speakers will present segments covering developing a marketing plan, marketing tools and strategies, cost of production, basis and technical analysis, crop insurance alternatives, seasonal weather forecast and marketing, as well as supply, demand and technical factors influencing the feed grains markets.
