On Tuesday evening, the Frank Phillips College Plainsmen and Lady Plainsmen, along with the West Texas High Comanches, went into the Thanksgiving holiday with wins.(Women) Frank Phillips College 75 Lubbock Christian University JV 41At the BCAC, the Lady Plainsmen opened the game on a 16-5 run on their way to defeating LCU JV 75-41 to improve to 5-4 for the season.The Lady Plainsmen had five players reach double figures led by Kinjita Kelley with 14, followed by Laura Martinez with 12 and Shardena Hudson, La’Christa Nash, and Destiny Phillips each scoring 10.The Lady Plainsmen will next travel to Hobbs, NM on December 1st to take part in the WJCAC Pre-Conference Tournament, where they will open play against Howard College.(Men) Frank Phillips College 83 Lubbock Christian University JV 60The Plainsmen made the trip down to Lubbock on Tuesday night and came away winners against LCU JV 83-60 to improve to 4-5 for the season.Top scorers for the Plainsmen were Kris Harris 25, James Boonstoppel 13, and Akeem Johnson 10.The Plainsmen will next host Trinidad State College on Tuesday, November 29th beginning at 7:00 p.m.(Boys) West Texas High 55 McLean 33The Comanches improved to 4-1 for the season on Tuesday by building a big lead early to get the 55-33 win over McLean on the road.Alex Ramirez led the Comanches with 20 points, followed by Nathan Forrest with 16.(Girls) Bushland 55 West Texas High 38The Lady Comanches and Lady Falcons found themselves in a tight ball game until Bushland was able to pull away with a 22-7 in the fourth period.Junior Cheyenne Tull led the Lady Comanches by scoring 20 points.
