Clutch shot at buzzer gives Villanova National Championship

Monday night's NCAA match-up between the Villanova Wildcats (35-5) and North Carolina Tar Heels (33-7) may well go down as the best national championship game ever. Villanova's Kris Jenkins' buzzer-beater was the difference-maker giving Villanova a 77-74 victory in Houston. The victory adds to the other title Villanova won in 1985, when Rollie Massimino, who was on hand Monday night, coaxed a miracle out of his eight-seeded underdogs for a victory over then powerhouse Georgetown.

North Carolina trailed Villanova by six points with 1:52 left in the game. But North Carolina went on a run capped by Marcus Paige's double-clutch 3 with seconds left. Jenkins own three seconds later gave the title to Villanova.
