Borger coach placed on leave

On Thursday afternoon, Borger ISD Athletic Director Rusty Purser confirmed that Michael Littlejohn has been put on paid administrative leave with the school district.At this time, Purser declined to give details for the administrative leave other than to say that the school district is conducting an investigation into allegations brought against Littlejohn.Over the past week, several of the parents of players in the Borger volleyball program have approached school officials over concerns related to the coach.Purser stated that pending how the investigation goes will determine what actions the school district will take in moving forward. Littlejohn is in his fourth season as Head Coach of the Lady Bulldogs Volleyball team and has served as an assistant coach for the Lady Bulldogs softball team and boys track team.Borger Volleyball Assistant Coach Ken Barbour will coach the varsity volleyball team with Vickie Brame continuing to serve as an assistant. Purser said the school will fill the other volleyball position from within the school district as the investigation goes on.The Borger volleyball team will take on West Texas High and Amarillo Arbor Academy tomorrow morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Tex Hanna Gym.
