40th annual Randall County Crops Tour set for Aug. 30 in Canyon

The 40th annual Randall County Crops Tour hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is set for Tuesday, August 30 in Canyon. The program kicks-off with registration at 8:30 a.m. at the Kuhlman Extension Center located at 200 North Brown Rd. This year the event is free, with the registration fee covered by Happy State Bank. Topics include stocker cattle gazing, wheat and sorghum updates, commodity market forecasts and the newest technology in agriculture equipment. Following the noon luncheon, participants will tour a cotton variety trial, sugarcane aphid management sorghum plots and a live cattle dart gun vaccination demonstration. The tour should conclude around 4:30 p.m.
