Members of the Fritch Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding their annual banquet on Saturday, April 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Sanford-Fritch Junior High School Cafeteria. Tickets for the event will be $20 per person. Children 8 years old and under will be admitted at no charge.
The deadline to purchase tickets for the $20 price is Monday, April 15. Tickets will be available at the door for $25 per person.
The 2013 Man and Woman of the Year will be announced and honored and new this year, an Organization of the Year will also be honored. Man, Woman and Organization of the year are selected by popular vote of residents of the Fritch community.
Lyndy Phillips, magician and speaker will provide the entertainment for the event. Phillips and his family, former Fritch residents now reside in Dallas. He began entertaining people with comedy and magic in 1980 and in 1988, he entered full-time ministry. With the combination of magic, laughter and inspiration, Phillips will make this an evening to remember for those in attendance.
Great Western Dining of Borger will cater the event. The menu will include pork tenderloin, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, garden salad, green beans, California medley and hot rolls. Dessert will include a variety of cheese cakes. Tea, water and coffee will also be furnished.
A silent auction will be held as a fundraiser for the Fritch Area Chamber of Commerce again this year. In addition, Chamber members are raffling $250 worth of groceries courtesy Lowe’s Grocery in Fritch. These raffle tickets are available from any Chamber member and are $1 each or 6 for $5 and are available until the drawing the night of the 20th of April.
