The Borger ISD board is set to meet this Thursday, Jan. 10.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Borger ISD Administration Building, 200 East Ninth.
The board will consider action on a resolution to suspend portions of EI (Local), EIA (Local), and EIC (Local) for the 2013 school year only. Action will also be taken on budget amendments, and items under the board's consent agenda, which include December meeting minutes, December payroll, December disbursements, and donations.
Several items will up for consideration under personnel matters, which includes resignations, the superintendent's recommendations regarding employment, substitutes to review, the superintendent evaluation, and superintendent contract and compensation.
School Board Recognition - “Rising to New Heights”, enrollment for December 2012, dates to review, and a Bulldog Stadium update will be up for discussion under the superintendent's report.
Reports on Borger High School activities, Borger Intermediate School activities, Gateway Elementary School activities, and Borger athletics will be given under campus/district reports.
Financial reports and tax reports will be presented. A public hearing on the AEIS report for 2011-12 will be presented prior to the start of the meeting.
Future agenda items will be discussed, which include evaluation of administrative staff, administrative staff contracts, and the order of trustee election.
A time of open forum will be held for the public to discuss its views with the board. Speakers are allowed five minutes, and the board is not allowed to comment on items brought up in open forum.
