New Year’s resolutions are one tradition that keeps coming every year, even if they are not fulfilled. New Year’s Eve has always been a time for looking back to the past, and more importantly, forward to the coming year.
It’s a time to reflect on the changes we want or need to make and resolve to follow through on those changes.
Hutchinson County Fire Marshal Danny Richards stated a few of his resolutions. “ have three resolutions. First, Im going to try to be the best dad I can be to my sons. Try to help more people thru emergency response. Finally, the third and last is to make the best grades I can while working on my Doctorate Degree. Everybody should make a resolution,” said Richards.
BNH Facebook readers also have their own resolutions for 2013.
Lisa Ann Thomison stated, “I vow to be a more trusting, open-hearted individual. The world needs more trust, love, and peace.” Amanda Harris stated for her resolution to be less cursing. Jeff Parkhurst’s resolution is, “to have a better attitude towards everything. To quit being so pessimistic.”
The staff of the BNH have a ultimate resolution to make the community’s newspaper bigger and better in the year 2013.
