It’s almost Christmas time at the Hutchinson County Museum!
Christmas is just around the corner and kids are invited to post Christmas Greetings on the museum gallery walls! This year the Hutchinson County Museum will present a kids’ Christmas greeting art show.
“We want to give the kids a venue to show their art and say Merry Christmas to the community,” says Lynn Hopkins, HCM Administrator.
This year the museum will post all the art on its walls for the entire community and visitors to enjoy.
The invitation is open to kids of all ages in public schools, private schools, home schools, Sunday schools, and other groups. The art needs to be 8 1/2” x 11” on any type of material.
“We love construction paper and glitter,” said Hopkins.
Artists should proudly put their name, age and school on the front of the greeting.
This event is not a competition; it is a fun venue for kids to express Christmas greetings to their friends and family. “Everyone loves kid’s art and the museum will be their art gallery wall this Christmas,” Hopkins stated.
Art work needs to be at the museum by Nov 26 and can be dropped off or a staff member will make arrangements to pick it up. The art will not be returned.
The museum is located at 618 N. Main in Borger. Museum hours are Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. Staff members are working on Monday, but the building is closed to the public. For questions contact Lynn Hopkins at 806-273-0130 or firstname.lastname@example.org
