Halloween is just around the corner and parents are looking for fun family events for themselves and their kids to enjoy around the Hutchinson County area.
First of all in Borger is the Johnson Park Insane Asylum.
According to Annadon Keys, Johnson Park Youth Center Manager, this year’s Insane Asylum is completely different than last year’s.
“Those who attended last year are in for a surprise. It has everyone’s worst fears,” she said.
This year’s Insane Asylum will move a bit faster, because there will not be a guide, but the Insane Asylum will use the entire facility.
From now through Nov. 3, the asylum will be open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. and from 7 p.m. till midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
It will be open Halloween night from 7 p.m. till 11 p.m.
Admission will be $10. Children under 11 years of age should be accompanied by an adult. If you make it through the Insane Asylum you will receive an ice-cold Coke or Dr. Pepper.
This is because of the great effort of the asylum staff to make this one of the greatest haunted houses Borger has seen.
There is great acting and the staff makes attendees feel as if it were the real deal.
