Albert Daniel Gonzales, 69, of Borger, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, in Amarillo.
A Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at the St. John’s Catholic Church, and the Funeral Mass will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, also at St. John’s Catholic Church with Father Richard Zanetti officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Albert Daniel Gonzales was born Oct. 19, 1942, in Clayton, N.M., to Frank Gonzales and Susie (Lovato) Gonzales. On Nov. 24, 1962, he married Arlene Gonzales. He has lived in Borger since 1978, and was a truck driver with Air Liquide for 34 years. Albert was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and loved playing bingo, bowling, and visiting with people. He never knew a stranger.
Survivors include his wife Arlene; a son Adrian Gonzales of Borger; two daughters, Loretta Aikens and husband Richie of Borger and Katrina Gonzales of Amarillo; two brothers, his twin Gilbert Gonzales of Tucumcari, N.M., Jimmy Gonzales of Aurora, Colo.; a sister Theresa DesChamps of Roy, N.M.; five granddaughters, Uersula, Adriana, Ana, Valerie, and Jaymee; and two grandsons, Darren, Charlie, and six great-grandchildren.
Albert is preceded in death by his parents, his son Patrick in 1989, his brother Herbert, and his sister Patricia.
