Damon Lynn McClellan, 36, of Clute, Texas, passed away on June 26, 2012, in Houston, Texas. He was born in Borger, Texas, to James and Sandra McClellan on June 19, 1976.
He is survived by his loving parents, Jimmy and Sandra McClellan, of Arlington, TX; his sister Heather McClellan Castillo and his nephew Vince Castillo of Arlington; his dearly loved family, fiancé Patricia Delafosse and stepchildren Kinney Mouton, Kevon Keys, and Kamryn Carter of Clute; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Damon was a man of many interests and talents. He grew up in Fritch, Texas, where friends and family remember him as a sweet, friendly, honest, funny and generous guy with a wonderful smile. He was an avid skate boarder. His interest in photography began while he was in high school and continued throughout his life. He had a special eye that enabled him to create memorable images. Damon worked many jobs in the construction field, and he had attained his goal of becoming a certified crane operator. He had worked in many different parts of the country, and he loved to tell stories about the many interesting characters he had met. He liked to travel, especially to the mountains and the beach, and he was always eager to learn about new places and things. His last four years were spent as a family man, and he enjoyed doing things for and with Patricia and the kids. He had many things to smile about, and that wonderful smile continued to define his spirit.
The memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546.
