The Crime Stoppers and Borger Police Department are seeking the help of the public in identifying a suspect or suspects pertaining to an attempted theft.
Lt. Anthony Griffin of the BPD said that near the end of the month of May, the suspect or suspects made an attempt to withdraw money from an account holder at a local credit union.
The suspect had the account holder’s withdrawal slip but had forged the account holder’s signature.
The incident was caught on the credit union’s security camera, and Crime Stoppers and BPD are seeking assistance in identifying the suspects and/or suspect vehicle.
Anyone with information on the incident, suspects, and/or suspect vehicle, is asked and encouraged to contact the Borger Police Department at (806) 273-0930 or the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at (806) 274-6371.
Those calling in informational tips to Crime Stopppers may remain anonymous. However, those wishing to receive an award in reference to the tip are asked and encouraged to leave a working reliable contact number so that a Crime Stoppers representative can contact the person at a later date and time in reference to reward information. This will only happen in the event the tip proves reliable and relevant.
Crime Stoppers offers awards ranging from $50 up to $1,000 for reliable and relevant tips and information in reference to any unsolved investigation or crime, any type of criminal activity, and/or outstanding fugitives from justice.
