With school out and summer in the air, the Borger Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the Borger Summer Celebration.
The event is set to take place on Friday, June 15, at Huber Park. The chamber is eagerly anticipating the event and is preparing for this year’s event to be a big success.
The event will have a huge selection of booths to include games, food, prizes, and activities for children. Live entertainment will be provided by the Prairie Dogs.
Crystal Irvin of the Borger Chamber of Commerce said local citizens can be a part of this event by entering a booth for only $25.
Entry forms are now available at the Borger Chamber of Commerce, located at 613 North Main. The chamber is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The chamber encourages citizens to get involved and wants them to know it will be a great opportunity to be an active part of the community.
Many groups and organizations raise money to help fund their special projects, and often times businesses raise money to be awarded to a charity of their choice.
“The Borger Summer Celebration will be the place to ‘Soak up the Sun’ this summer while networking with various clubs and organizations as they provide an opportunity for great family fun,” Irvin said.
At the present time, the Downtown Merchants are going through a time of reorganizing and exploring new venues for future events.
With this in mind, they have decided against holding the Beach Bash this year, which normally takes the first weekend in June, according to Mike Scales.
