On Tuesday evening, the Borger Lady Bulldogs softball team kept their playoff hopes alive by defeating the Dalhart Lady Wolves 9-3, in District 1-3A action in Dalhart.

The Lady Bulldogs got on the scoreboard early, when Alex Lopez crossed home plate on a passed ball in the top of the first inning.
However, the Lady Wolves quickly responded by taking a 1-3 lead after the second inning with the help of a solo home run and a RBI triple.
The Lady Bulldogs scored a run in the third inning. But it would be the fourth inning when the Lady Bulldogs started to break open the game by scoring four runs to build a 6-3 lead.
Kyla Baker brought in the inning on a RBI single followed by Tootie Karins hitting a a two RBI single to left field to make it a 5-3 game. Taylor Hickman brought in the final Borger run of the inning, thanks to a Dalhart fielding error, to make it a 6-3 game.
The spark at the plate carried over to the field, where the Lady Bulldogs would not allow Dalhart to get past second base in the final four innings.
But to secure the win, the Lady Bulldogs added three more runs off of RBI singles by Baker and Dakota Karins, along with a RBI double by T.Karins in the final two innings.
