The Borger ISD board will be conducting evaluations of professional staff during its upcoming regular meeting.
The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, in the board room of the Borger ISD Administration Building, 200 East Ninth.
After doing evaluations of professional staff, the board will consider the superintendent’s recommendations regarding the employment of teachers and other non-administrative staff. The board will also act on resignations and review the current list of substitutes.
In other business, the board will consider a resolution to suspend portions of three different policies for the 2011-12 school year only, a TCEQ agreement with Borger ISD, an interlocal agreement regarding electronic voting equipment, and a petition protesting the 2011 property value study findings.
The board will act on various items under its consent agenda, which includes February 2012 payroll and disbursements, donations, Level II training, and the minutes of its first regular February meeting.
Campus reports will be given on Borger Middle School, Crockett Elementary School, and Paul Belton Early Childhood Center.
Several items will also be discussed under the superintendent’s report, which include enrollment for February 2012, the Raptor System, a board election update, the Region 16 Education Service Center Board of Director’s Election, and dates to review.
Financial and tax reports will be presented, including a quarterly investment report for the 2nd quarter. Future agenda items will also be discussed.
A time of open forum will be held for the public to express its views to the board. Speakers are allowed five minutes, and the board cannot comment on items that are brought up in open forum.
