
On Wednesday evening, the Frank Phillips College Plainsmen made the trip to Altus, Okla. to take on the Western Oklahoma State College Pioneers in non-conference action.
The Pioneers got off to a fast start and were able to build a 21-point lead at halftime.
In the second half, the Plainsmen rallied and were able to pull to within two points with four minutes to play.
But a comeback win was not meant to be, as the Pioneers were able to pull away for the 96-85 win.
The top scorers in the game for the Plainsmen were Montero Rice 16, Akeem Johnson 15, and Kris Harris 14.
The Plainsmen dropped to 5-8 for the season while Western Oklahoma improved to 8-4.
The Plainsmen will wrap up play for the fall semester tonight in Plainview taking on Wayland Baptist JV at 7:00 p.m.
