State Senator Kel Seliger will be speaking at the Borger town hall meeting on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Borger City Hall on 600 N. Main St.
Seliger has spoke about the activities of the 82nd Legislative Session over the past two months.
“The town hall meetings are a great way to ensure there is continuing dialogue from the people who live in my district,” he said. “I hold them regularly and use the information exchanged.”
Seliger was born in the Amarillo and raised in the Borger area. He is also a graduate Borger public schools and Dartmouth College. He is the vice-president of Lake Steel, Incorporate. He is also a licensed commercial pilot and flight instructor.
He went on to be a state senator of Texas. While under his leadership, the Texas Legislature passed all of the new district maps.
He also served on the Senate Natural Resources Committee mainly focusing on areas of groundwater and the disposal of low-level radioactive waste.
He progressed measures to better the process to launch a more desired future conditions (DFC) and the management of priority groundwater management areas (PGMA) matters.
