Throughout his time in high school, Hoff has played a key role in the success of the Comanches in football, basketball, baseball and track.
In football, Hoff helped lead the Comanches to the bi-district playoff round by collecting 1,023 yards on 96 attempts, rushing with nine touchdowns while throwing for 1,031 yards, on 53 or 106 attempts, with 13 passing and seven interceptions.
In basketball, Hoff averaged 12.5 points per game, 3.3 assists and 2.7 steals with Comanche Head Basketball Coach Aron Graves appreciating how Hoff established himself as a leader this year, saying, “Logan on the field is someone that has really asserted himself as a leader this year. He is a competitor that just wants to win. He is a very gifted athlete that has been a great athlete for us for four years.”
Comanche Head Baseball Coach Steven Couresy echoed those feelings, saying, “Logan shows up every day and does what you ask them to do.”
Logan has been a four-year starter on the baseball team at West Texas and through the first 20 games his batting average sits at .429 with 15 RBIs.
He has five doubles, one triple, and two HR along with 25 stolen bases. On the mound, Hoff had a 5-1 record. with an ERA around 3.25 and over 20 strikeouts.
Hoff qualified for regionals in both the 800 relay and 400m sprint relay and tied the school record in the 100m with a 10.7, which is one of the fastest times to date in the region.
Sr. - Borger High School
Since her freshman year, Pool has enjoyed plenty of success within the Borger Lady Bulldog athletic program.
In track, Pool has qualified for regionals all four years, including being the three-time district champ in the shot put. This spring, Pool earned her first trip to the state meet this year by winning the discus, where she holds the school record, at regionals and placing second in the shot put.
At the State Track and Field Meet in Austin, Pool made history by earning the first-ever gold medal in the Borger girls track program by winning the 3A Girls Discus. Pool followed her discus performance by taking second place at state in the 3A Girls Shot Put.
Borger Girls Head Track Coach Leslie Young said of Pool, “She’s been a major contributor to our program her entire high school career. We’ve asked her to compete in several different events and she’s stepped up and done just that.”
In basketball, Pool averaged 13.2 points and 7.8 rebounds to earn First Team All-District honors.
Borger Head Girls Basketball Coach Travis Nicks commented, “J’Cee has a great attitude and is a great team player with leadership skills and a work ethic that will no doubt lead her to success in her future endeavors.”
Pool also was a key player at the net for the 2010 Lady Bulldog volleyball team.
Of Pool, Lady Bulldog Head Coach Michael Littlejohn commented, “ J’Cee is so blessed with a ton of athleticsm in all areas of athletics. J’Cee puts a lot of time into every sport she plays and is blessed with a lot of talent.”
