Want to be a part of setting a Guinness World Record? High Plains Helping Hand and the Hutchinson County Crisis Center (HC3) will hold a fundraiser called "One Voice, One Goal" Saturday, August 26. The event will be held at Frank Phillips College campus Borger Community Activity Center (BCAC). The event begins at 5:00 p.m. and continues to 8:00 p.m. The BCAC is located at 1301 W. Roosevelt St. in Borger.

Event organizers are hoping to set a Guinness World Record, as part of the festivities, for the most people waving checkered (racing) flags. Organizers will have local worship bands performing live, a Boots vs. Badges blood drive, face painting, balloon sales, characters from Star Wars, Spiderman and Disney in attendance and available for pictures, a silent auction and much, much more.

Admission cost is $10 per person at the door which includes a meal and refreshments. Admission is free for children under three years of age. Spread the word with friends and family to attend and help set a Guinness World Record. If we get 520 people to participate, Hutchinson County, Texas will be in the Guinness Book of World Records, and you can be a part of the effort. Come out and support two very worthy organizations!
