Several of the brightest high school business minds presented business plans to the Borger Economic Development Corporation (EDC). The EDC hosts the annual contest for Borger High students in the interest of fostering business and helping local youth develop into the leaders of tomorrow. Krystle Potts, Borger High Career & Technology Education teacher, oversees the program and provides the information required for students to submit their plans.

The judges for the event are local business leaders. Each student submits a proposal to the judges. The process is reminiscent of the television show "Shark Tank." Borger EDC Chief Executive Officer Dan Redd coordinates the event from the business side. Students took home over $5,000 from the EDC for their efforts.
