By Michelle Berry Staff Writer A local church will be hosting a special gospel presentation this Saturday.
The River of Life Assembly of God, located at 411 Chamberlain in Skellytown, will be hosting the presentation of “The Master’s Hand” with horse trainer Chip Sugar of Hawley. Danny Trussell, who is the pastor of the church, said the event will be a unique representation of the gospel message. “It is a comparison of the relationship between man and horse and our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” he said. Trussell said the presentation will bring out several important points. “As the time progresses, you will see how Christ calls us, and then takes us through steps to bring us into His will and a relationship with Him,” he said. He said he hopes those in attendance truly see the similarities of a trainer and his horse in comparison with a man and his relationship with God. “As the trainer works with the horse, and as scriptures unfold, we hope you will realize the similarities and see that, just as all horses are different,” Trussell said. “Some come to the realization that they need a Savior easily, while others chose to rebel and stray away from what God has to offer.” Trussell said he hopes people are receptive to the word of God that will be presented. “In the end, God reveals his patience and love by showing that no matter who you are, where you came from, or what your first reaction to Him might be, He is there just waiting for you to listen and accept....the touch of the Master’s hand!” The event will take place from 5-8 p.m. this Saturday. It will take place at the lot south of the River of Life Assembly of God, located at Fifth and Chamberlain in Skellytown. A cookout is planned with reasonable pricing. Trussell said the event is truly one that people do not want to miss. “Bring lawn chairs to sit in while you watch!” he said. “It’s going to be a great time.” To get to the church, go to Rustler’s Restaurant and turn west on Fifth Street. From there, go to Chamberlain. Anyone interested in finding out more about “The Master’s Hand” presentation can call 806-848-2939.
