Zola Mae Baker Busby, 96, born January 28, 1917 in Franklin, Arkansas died November 2, 2013 in Amarillo
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Bryan Cooper officiating.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East.
Zola was born January 28, 1917 in Franklin, Arkansas to Marshal Thomas and Ida Opal Baker. She married Frank Busby on January 23, 1937 in Tolar, Texas. She was a member of Fritch United Methodist Church. Zola worked at Fedway Department Store of Amarillo when it first opened and she worked there until it closed. Then she worked at Busby Real Estate in Fritch. She loved her church friends, and attending her arts and crafts club, quilting and oil painting. Her yard was a joy to her as she loved her flowers. Zola planted the flowers and enjoyed giving them as gifts.
Zola was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 2001; her son, Dwayne Busby in 2006 and by four sisters and four brothers.
Zola is survived by her son, Dale Busby and wife Phyllis; daughter-in-law, Jerrie Busby; grandsons, James Busby and wife Lesa, David Allen Chadwick and wife Bonita and Jim Chadwick and wife Angie; granddaughters, Sherri Tice and husband Jerry, Katie Busby and Chelsie Busby; sisters, Joann Henry and Marion Ailene Baker; and also her brother, Bill Baker.
