W.O. “Cotton” Dawson

BOSWELL, OK - W.O. “Cotton” Dawson, 84, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, in Boswell, OK.
William Oliver “Cotton” Dawson was born May 29, 1928 in Tupelo, MS, the son of James William Roy Lee Dawson and Estelle (Oliver) Dawson. He had lived most of his life in Borger, TX but had spent the last four years with his son in Sunkist, OK.
Cotton was an United States Army veteran who served during World War II. He enjoyed working and remodeling his children and grandchildren’s houses. He made cabinets and gun cabinets. He also worked laying foundations and could build a house from the foundation up.
Cotton was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Earl Dawson.
Survivors Include: four sons, Ronnie Dawson and wife Mickie, Randy Dawson and Ricky Dawson all of Borger, TX and James Dawson and wife Tonya of Sunkist, OK; daughter, Kathy Thompson of Dallas, TX; sister, Mary Higgins of Dallas, TX; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren along with a host of other family and friends.
Private Memorial Services to be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Boswell, OK.
