On Sunday afternoon, the Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen hosted Western Nebraska Community College in a non-conference doubleheader.
Western Nebraska left Borger winning both games 12-5 and 11-4, to drop the Lady Plainsmen to 1-7 and the team will next travel to Tishomingo, Okla., this weekend to take part in a tournament.

FPC freshman Lucinda Ponce had a good game at the plate hitting a homerun in the second inning and racking up three RBIâ€™s.
But Western Nebraska used a 12 run third inning to pull away for the win.
Gabi Palacios went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for Western Nebraska C.C. Palacios doubled in the third inning and singled in the third and fifth innings.
Lady Plainsmen pitcher Cheyenne Ford recorded seven strikeouts, and allowed 10 earned runs, 16 hits and two walks over seven innings.

In the second game, the Lady Plainsmen had a hard time cooling off the Western Nebraska bats, as they would score at least one run in each of the first five innings in their 11-4 win.
Madlin Dorhofer had two RBIs on one hit for the Lady Plainsmen.
Palacios racked up three RBIs on three hits for Western Nebraska C.C. Palacios singled in the first inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and tripled in the seventh inning.
Ashley Abair was a workhorse in the circle for the Lady Plainsmen, allowing eight earned runs, 13 hits and one walk while striking out two.
