Weekend concert nets $23,000 for wildfire relief

June 11, 2014

Organizers of the Fritch wildfire benefit concert and bike ride presented the United Way with a check for $23,000 on Tuesday afternoon. Presenting the check were (from left to right) Jami Mayfield, Tyler Whatley, Pat Thomas, Christie Arnall and Josh Reneau. Accepting the check on the behalf on United Way were Candie Weber and Julie Winters.

When Tyler Whatley, Christie Arnall, Josh Reneau and Jared Thomas came up with the idea of staging a benefit concert for the victims of the Fritch wildfire, they only wanted to help in whatever little way they could.
On Tuesday afternoon, that help was bigger than any of them ever dreamed. The group presented the United Way with a donation of $23,000.
