The Borger Walmart will be hosting several events to raise money for the Childrenâ€™s Miracle Network.
The first one will be on June 5, 2011. The store will be holding a Coed Bowling Tournament at Wildcatters, located on 1501 Main St. The tournament will start at 3 p.m.

The next event Borger Walmart is hosting is a silent auction for an opportunity to attend the up coming 2011 Childrenâ€™s Miracle Network Hospitals Classic on Oct. 20-23, 2011. at the Palm and Magnolia Golf Course at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla. The package has an estimated value of $7,500 and includes:
â€˘Four VIP Passes to the Childrenâ€™s Miracle Network Hospitals Classic Greenside Chalet for all four days of the tournament
â€˘Eight Walt Disney World Theme park tickets
â€˘General Admission for eight to all days of the Childrenâ€™s Miracle Network Hospitals Classic
â€˘Four night hotel stay at Disneyâ€™s Grand Floridian Hotel (double occupancy)
Bids for this auction can be placed at the Walmart store, located at 1404 West Wilson or by calling Beth Burns or Derek Thompson at (806)274-7257. The deadline for bids is Wednesday, June 8, 2011.
Also coming up on June 11 will be a softball tournament hosted by Walmart on behalf of Childrenâ€™s Miracle Network.
In addition to the fundraisers, the store will be hosting a Business Community Leadership Luncheon on Thursday, May 26th at noon at Dakeâ€™s Restaurant located at 718 N. Main Street. The purpose of this luncheon is to engage local businesses in the Childrenâ€™s Miracle Network campaign. For further information or to RSVP for the luncheon, please contact Burns.
