Wal-Mart plans fundraisers for CMN

Wal-Mart of Borger is doing its part to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network this year, and has two fundraisers planned in the coming weeks to help make that happen.
The first annual Wal-Mart/Children’s Miracle Network First Annual “Throw For the Kids” Disc Golf Challenge will be held at the Johnson Park Youth Center, 1201 Bulldog Boulevard. The challenge will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012.
To participate in the 18-hole challenge, there is a $15 entry fee, which includes lunch. Those wanting to participate in the 9-hole challenge, there is a $10 entry fee, which also includes lunch. There are advances, recreational, and beginner divisions in which entrants can participate.
The tee off starts at 9 a.m., with the last group out at 1 p.m. There will also be Easy 2 baskets for a $2 fee.

The store is also preparing for its first annual Wal-Mart Children’s Miracle Network first annual car show, set for May 19 at the Hutchinson County Aluminum Dome in Borger.
Entry fees are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event. Set up time will be from 7-9 a.m., and the show will run from 10 a.m. To 6 p.m.
On the registration form, entrants need to put their name, address, phone number, e-mail, the make and model of their automobile, the year of the automobile, and which class it falls in. The classes include car, muscle car, truck, motorcycle, and special interest.
Forms and fees need to be returned to Wal-Mart, Attn: CMN, 1404 West Wilson, Borger, TX 79007.
