Hutchinson County High School Seniors, the Vietnam Veterans of America, North Plains Chapter 404, Borger, Texas, wish to award a Hutchinson County Vietnam Veterans Memorial Scholarship to four (4) graduating seniors from any Hutchinson County High School, or home schooled graduating students from each district.
Applications will be provided to high school counselors at West Texas High School, Sanford-Fritch High School, Borger High School and Home Schooled Seniors, or are available on line at www.vvachapter404.com/scholarship.htm
The completed application must be postmarked no later than April 19, 2013.

Hutchinson County Vietnam Veterans Memorial Scholarship
Who qualifies for this scholarship?
Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 404, Borger, Texas, offers this scholarship for seniors who are attending West Texas High School, Fritch High School, Borger High School and Home Schooled Seniors in Hutchinson County, Texas, and who will be attending after graduation a fully accredited public, private or parochial college or university, business, or technical college. Each high school will receive one scholarship per year.
What is the Hutchinson County Memorial Scholarship?
This scholarship was started to pay honor to the young men from Hutchinson County who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of Democracy while serving in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War.
As of March 25, 2002, the list of these fallen soldiers from Hutchinson County can be found on our website.
This yearâ€™s (2013) scholarship will be given in memory of Jerald Leon Dozier 34 years old, died October 13, 1965
How may the Scholarship money be used?
This scholarship money may be applied toward tuition, books and other fees.
