Shila Hart
My name is Shila Hart. I am a Republican Candidate for Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1. My family, being long time residents of Hutchinson County are; Roy Don & Beverly Creacy of Borger, grandparents Donald & Shirley Creacy of Fritch, and my in-laws Charles & Rhonda Hart of Stinnett. I was born in Borger and moved away as a child. Changes in life moved me back to Stinnett in 2007. Since moving back I have seen people that I have known since childhood. Being back in Hutchinson County with family and friends has been such a wonderful blessing in my life.
I am married to Justin Hart and we have two children Cedar 9yrs. old and TyAnn 5yrs. old which attend West Texas Elementary. Justin is a Lieutenant for the Borger Fire Department, Assistant Chief for the Stinnett Volunteer Fire Department, and works for the National Park Service of Lake Meredith.
We are active members of the First Baptist Church of Stinnett where I am a Sunday School Teacher and an Awanna’s leader. I am a Volunteer for the Stinnett Fire Department, which allows me to work very closely with Law Enforcement, EMS, and any and all emergency response teams. As for being part of the Volunteer Fire Department I work with the public in every situation that we are called to. I am also the Secretary of the Stinnett Area Volunteer Firefighters Assoc. in fundraising, public events, and any other activity the Fire Dept. is involved in.
I have worked as a lending assistant for 5yrs in the banking industry. I have continued to do bookkeeping for private businesses over the years including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Workman’s Comp., various business reports and forms that has giving me the knowledge of budgeting.
While working as the Court Clerk in the Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1 office in 2009 I learned the duties of Justice of the Peace such as Civil and Small Claims, Criminal, Evictions, Misdemeanors, Inquests, Bond settings, Emergency protective order, and Juvenile Detention Hearings.
With my previous employment in the Justice of the Peace, Pct.1 office and to those of you that have been around me working know that I take my job very serious and everyone is treated fair. I have been trained on Hutchinson County’s new computer system. I have 2009 Court Clerk Training, member of the West Texas Justice of the Peace and Constable Assoc., and have attended new legislative update training for 2009.
I feel that my current experience in the Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1 office has given me the start on a career that could be long term. So in saying that, Hutchinson County Precinct 3 & 4 needs to get out and VOTE! This is a good year to vote with all that is going on with Governor, Senate, and yes Hutchinson County races. Please get out and VOTE this year.
Choosing me for your Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1 I am going to bring fair and impartial Civil and Small Claims, and Eviction trails. You won’t be judged on who you are or what you have done. I also feel I will be consistent with the handbooks and laws.
Most and very important is Truancy. Our children are the future of Hutchinson County and having them in school is important. As of right know Truancy is not being sought out in Stinnett. I will push to have those kids in school because they need their education more than anything in the 21st century.
I will bring to the office my experience, knowledge, dedication, dependability, impartial, and fairness. I will open the lines of communication back up with the law enforcement and the public.
