Eternal Light hosting men's retreat
Friday, March 06 2009

One of Borger's Pentecostal churches has a special men's retreat planned.
Eternal Light Church, 822 North Weatherly, will be hosting a men's retreat on Friday and Saturday, March 13 and 14.

Activities on Friday night will begin with a meal at 6 p.m. followed by a time of worship and ministry. Saturday's activities will begin at 9 a.m. with the monthly men's fellowship breakfast followed by a time of ministry. Activities are scheduled to conclude at 12 p.m. Saturday.
The invited speaker for the retreat is Dr. Arman Stephens of Oklahoma City, Okla. He is an Oklahoma native, started preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ at the age of 17, and was ordained to ministry two years later.
Dr. Stephens and wife Dee are pastors of The Worship Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. He has pioneered two churches, planted three churches in Ethiopia, and has traveled and preached the gospel in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South America, Mexico, Canada, and on both coasts of the United States. He is the author of several books that help equip Christians in their daily walk with Christ.
Willy Adams, pastor of Eternal Light Church, said Dr. Stephens' ministry is very centered on God.
“A strong faith in the Word of God and praise and worship are the core of his ministry,” he said. “God is honoring the word he preaches with signs, wonders, and many miracles. The blind see, the lame walk, some have been raised from the dead, tumors disappear, body parts that have been surgically removed have been replaced by the power of God as it operates through him.
“He believes we are living in the last days and the manifested presence of the glory of God is for the entire church today,” Adams said.
Dr. Stephens will be ministering in both services at Eternal Light Church on Sunday, March 15, as well. Services begin at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend all services on Friday through Sunday.
For more information, contact Pastor Adams at 336-9054.
