City of Borger web site receives new look

The web site for the City of Borger has officially received a new look.
Alex Rodriguez, president and co-owner of On Time Technology Solutions, a local managed IT services company, said his company was approached by Eddie Edwards, assistant city manager for the City of Borger, and recommended by council member Robert Vinyard to redesign the city’s web site to give it a more up-to-date look.
“We wanted it to be appealing and easier for anyone to navigate and get the information they need,” Rodriguez said. “We met with Mr. Edwards and he gave us examples of what he envisioned the site to look like.”
He said the company’s web designer came back, started brainstorming on ideas, and finally came up with a look that would meet with the city’s expectations.
The city already had a web site at http://www.ci.borger.tx.us, but the company felt the city needed something that would be informative and easier to navigate. The new site is full of information about the city and city offices.
As part of a maintenance agreement, On Time Technology Solutions will maintain the website for the City of Borger from now on. Rodriguez said the site reflects the city’s commitment to its citizens.
“Having a web site shows that the City of Borger is committed to bringing up-to-date information to its citizens,” he said. “You can reach more of your local community through a web site than through any other media. A web site is a great addition to all your marketing materials, from business cards to television commercials.”
Rodriguez said a web site can be a very inexpensive form of getting out information to the citizens of Borger, and can offer an audience much more information about the city than in any other form of advertising. He also said it can be changed at a moment’s notice.
“Just think about how much work it takes to make one small change in a regular advertising campaign,” he said. “There’s the time to create the new campaign, produce it and get it out to the consumer. With a web site, you can make small or large changes very quickly.”
Rodriguez said On Time Technology Solutions has been in business for over four years now, and has been blessed to make it this far.
“We love our town, and we want to give back to our community!” he said.
Those interested in a web site or redesign can call the office at 274-9912, and On Time employees can consult with them on coming up with an online presence for their business. The company handles it all, from the design and implementation to the web hosting and e-mail.
Those interested in finding out what new services On Time Technology Solutions will be offering in the new year can check out the company’s newly redesigned site at www.ontimecomputing.com.

The food I look forward to preparing in the summer is my infamous Watermelon Basket.  I carve a basket out of a watermelon and place a large fruit salad full of strawberries, blueberries, and melons.  Not only does it taste delicious, but the presentation is a great hit at any family party! - Danny W

I love to go to the theater on main street. Transformers and Year
