By BROOKE HUFF REPORTER Borger Health Care Center has brought a native Borgan back to her roots.
Debbie Beilue was recently hired as the center’s new Administrator, and she said that she is looking forward to finding people she used to know and learning how much Borger has changed over the years. Beilue said that as the center’s administrator, she is seeking to get more community involvement in the center’s activities, as well as help to improve the center’s reputation in the community. She also said that she is most importantly striving to improve resident care and the center’s atmosphere. “My door is always open,” Debbie Beilue said. “If you ever have a question or concern, feel free to voice it.” A 1969 graduate of Borger High School, Beilue said that she is excited about coming home. After graduating from high school, she attended Frank Phillips College before going on to receive her BBA in accounting from West Texas State University. Later, she returned to college, this time attending Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, where she earned her MBA in healthcare in 1995. While working in Dumas, Beilue attended classes at West Texas A&M University, receiving her MA in counseling in 2006. She said she really enjoys going to school and learning the different aspects of healthcare. In 1985, Beilue and her family transferred to Dumas, where they have resided until their recent return to Borger. She has worked as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator since 1994. Borger Health Care Center, 1316 S. Florida, provides rehabilitation services with physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Many of the center’s patients, Beilue said, have been restored back to their regular activities and are able to return home. The nursing home, she said, is like a community within a community. They provide everything in the Home that residents may need, such as a beauty shop, numerous social activities, rehabilitation services, experienced nursing staff, housekeeping, laundry, and dietary staff. They also provide Hospice Care and for caretakers needing a vacation, they have Respite Care as well. Beilue said that she is excited about being a part of the Borger Health Care Center and the Borger community once again. |
