By Kimberly Duso Editor Borger High School baseball pitcher Justin “Juice” Watson was air lifted to Northwest Texas Hospital last night, after sustaining injuries from a motorcycle accident.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. yesterday, a call came into the Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Office about a motorcycle accident close to 10th Street and Florida behind the recycling plant. According to Justin’s mother, Linda Watson, the 17-year-old was doing a jump on his bike and as he did, he came off the bike and landed on his legs and then rolled. Deputies from the HCSO were on scene shortly after the call, found him in the Canyon and carried him to the ambulance. J. Watson was then taken to the JC Penney parking lot where he was air lifted to NWTH. Linda told the BNH this morning that Justin had surgery on his legs late last night. The BHS student broke the tibia and fibia in his left leg and one of the bones in the lower right leg. He now has a rod and a plate in the left leg and a rod in the right leg. Linda said Justin is still a little sore and is expected to have an MRI on his shoulder today, although there are no other broken bones at this time. “Justin is doing fine and we are just so blessed that he is alive,” she said. Justin is in room 549A at Northwest Texas Hospital. |
