Refuse Department gearing up for summer hours |

Starting Monday, June 2, the City of Borger Refuse Department will begin their summer hours for curbside trash pickup.
The crew will begin the service one hour earlier, starting at 7 a.m. These new hours will be for curbside trash pickup only, and will run through Monday, September 1, 2008
According to David Arthur with the City of Borger Transfer Station, the decision to change the hours for summer came about because they felt that it would be cooler for the crews to work in the mornings. Arthur said that by making the pickup hours earlier, it would give the guys a break from the hottest part of the afternoon.
