It has been pointed out and declared a very crucial segment of the electoral process: Genuine Truth.
Therefore this characteristic must be on predominate display by those seeking office, with honesty as a mainstay in their campaign. This philosophy should also be at the top of the list for all attempts to fulfill the obligations to the public by those already in office. Can you think of any situation that is only partially explained to the voting public, leaving them in the dark about many details that could cause concern with the validity, economical impact or the outright approval of the people now being solicited for their vote?? How about the civic loyalty of those elected and appointed officials presently serving our community? I believe I will vote for a candidate that will come forward with the FACTS, not a half truth. As noted by America’s most revered statesman, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN (1706-1790,) “HALF THE TRUTH IS OFTEN A GREAT LIE.” If you are not familiar with this great statesman, just whip out a 100 dollar bill, Benji will be staring at you from the central oval. Familiarity breeds belief and endearment toward this brilliant early American!! Let him be the pattern for your voting approval. I would welcome a similar attitude toward the actions of our local city and county officials. Who would you prefer for the ones looking out for your civic interests?? My vote counts, so does yours, J. Cambron Borger. Texas |
