FPC board to cancel election |

BY MICHELLE BERRY REPORTER Frank Phillips College will be canceling its election for the board of regents during its upcoming regular meeting.
The board will take action to cancel its part in the May 10, 2008. Entities can cancel their elections if no new candidates sign up to run. Candidates up for reelection to the FPC board of regents are Conny Moore, Dr. Edward Quiros, and Scott Radach. In other business, the board will consider for action items under its consent agenda, which include the investment summary, and an additional account at First Bank Southwest in Perryton. The board will also hear financial reports, as well as a presentation on activities at the Borger Community Activity Center, given by BCAC Director Deby Judd. Items of information will be presented, which include the American Association of Community Colleges Update, the annual calendar for the board of regents, and upcoming dates and events. Reports will be received from FPC president Dr. Herb Swender, vice presidents and deans, and board members. Along with the introduction of new employees, the board will take action on minutes from its regular February meeting and a special meeting held in late February. |
