Two vehicles involved in Tuesday wreck

Two vehicles were involved in a wreck occurring early Tuesday afternoon.
According to Lt. Anthony Griffin of the Borger Police Department, the wreck occurred at approximately 12:23 p.m. on July 17, 2012, in the 200 block of West Third Street.
A 2004 White Chevrolet 4 Door, driven by Joann Cantrell Phelps, 56, of Borger, was stopped at the traffic light at 3rd Street and Main Street. A 2012 Gray Nissan 350Z, driven by Joshua Jay Smith, 36, of Borger, made a left hand turn off of Main Street onto 3rd Street.
As Smith attempted a left hand turn, he struck Phelps in the turning lane. He was cited for an unsafe left turn.
Lt. Griffin said there were possible minor injuries but no medical transports reported.
