Two arrests made in assault case

Two arrests have been made in reference to an assault that occurred last Thursday evening.
On Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, the arrests were made by the Borger Police Department in reference to a recent sexual assault that was reported on Sept. 8, 2011, that occurred in the late evening hours on Union Street.
With the incident and investigation currently ongoing and active, the circumstances leading up to the identity and arrest of the suspects are not presently being provided and released, according to Lt. Anthony Griffin of the BPD.
Christopher Bradley Wane Guthery, 25, of Borger, and Richard Dean Rowe, 27, of Borger, were both arrested and charged with sexual assault.
A search of their residence was conducted in which supporting evidence was located and recovered.
Both subjects were transported to the City of Borger Jail Facility, where they were processed and incarcerated.
On Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, both subjects were arraigned on the charge of sexual assault. Bond was set at $500,000 for Guthery and $500,000 for Rowe.
As of this date and time, both Guthery and Rowe are incarcerated in the Hutchinson County Jail in Stinnett.
