From Tuesday: Gruver dominates Lady Comanches

The West Texas Lady Comanches are still looking for a District win on the hardwood. They started the second half of loop action Tuesday night with a loss to the Gruver Lady Hounds 41-15. WT managed to hang with the Lady Hounds in the first period, trailing by just one point 7-6.

The second quarter got quickly out of hand as Gruver poured in eighteen points while the Lady Comanches two. Gruver was comfortably on top of West Texas at the half 25-8.

The third period saw the Lady Hounds add twelve more points to their total and WT none. The Lady Comanches were trailing 37-8 at the end of three.

Abby Rios sank a bucket at the beginning of the fourth for the first Tribe points since 5:20 in the second quarter. Cheyenne Tull made a couple of shots in the paint, and Sarah Kelly made a free throw.

Tull had eight points, ten rebounds, and a steal.
