Troy Pickard, 88, of Blanchard, OK, formerly of Borger, TX, passed away, Thursday, February 9, 2012.
Troy William Pickard was born Sunday, July 15, 1923 in Phillips, TX to Luther and Ola Viola (May) Pickard. Troy served his country in WWII as a member of the US Navy serving on the USS Cook. He was a welder for Phillips Petroleum from 1946 to 1988. Troy loved his motorcycles and was an avid rider.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ilene.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie; three sons, Mike Pickard and wife Ginger of Blanchard, OK, Jeff Pickard and wife Cheryl of Borger, TX and David Pickard and wife Jeannine of Fort Worth, TX; his brother, H.B. Pickard of Amarillo, TX; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM, Monday, February 13, 2012 at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery in Borger, TX with Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating.
The family will be staying at 802 Bagwell.
